1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Japanese Foreigner ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Japanese Foreigner is a JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) study application that provides vocabulary, kanji, grammar, and reading practice materials. The Service is provided for educational purposes only.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service
  • One account per person; accounts are not transferable

4. Free and Premium Tiers

The Service offers a free tier (N5 content) and a premium tier (all JLPT levels). Premium subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis.

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute the study content
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service

6. Content Disclaimer

The JLPT study materials provided are for educational reference only. Japanese Foreigner is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES) or the Japan Foundation, which administer the JLPT.

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all content is error-free or matches the current JLPT syllabus. Study materials should be used as a supplement to, not a replacement for, comprehensive JLPT preparation.

7. Intellectual Property

Vocabulary and kanji data has been compiled from publicly available resources. Reading paragraphs and grammar explanations are original content.

The Service's design, code, and original content are the property of Japanese Foreigner.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or inability to access the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
